Help Shape the Next Chapter

In 2027, the Greensboro United Church of Christ sanctuary will turn 200.

For nearly two centuries, this place has served as a home for worship, music, meals, children, friendship, care, community gatherings, and moments of both celebration and grief. Each generation has cared for what it inherited while finding new ways for this church to serve its community.

Now it’s our turn.

As we prepare for this milestone, we want to hear from people throughout Greensboro and the surrounding community—not only those who worship at GUCC.

What do you hope for the next chapter?

What should we preserve?
What about GUCC—its building, traditions, programs, values, or role in the community—is important to carry forward?

What should we strengthen?
Where could GUCC do more to support connection, children and families, worship and spiritual life, neighbors in need, music and the arts, or community gatherings?

What should we create?
What new programs, gatherings, partnerships, uses of our building or grounds, or ways of serving the community would you love to see?

What does our community need?
Looking ahead 5, 10, or even 25 years, what needs or opportunities do you hope GUCC will help address?

Anything else you want us to know?
Share an idea, a hope, a story, or something you value about this place.

You do not need to be a member of GUCC or attend worship to respond. We want to hear from everyone who cares about the future of this community.
